What You'll Need:
- Bucket for collecting shells
- Old newspapers
A sandy shoreline, especially one protected by an offshore reef, is a great place to collect shells in the morning of a calm day at low tide, especially after a storm. Strong winds and high waves will have littered the beach with ocean debris.
Carry a bucket and some old newspapers for wrapping up your shells. When you find a good shell, check it for animals. If it is empty, wrap up the shell in newspaper and add it to your bucket.
The next beach craft is a sandy sculpture that's sure to make a great shore project.
