Spiral Mobile
It's easy to make a spiral mobile. We'll show you how to make this beaded art craft that you can hang in front of an open window. Let the wind gently twirl and whirl your spiral mobile! Ask mom or dad for help before you begin.
What You'll Need:
Pencil
39-ounce-size plastic coffee can lid
Scissors
Permanent markers or acrylic paints
Paintbrush
Hole punch
String
Mobile items such as shells, acorns, or beads
To make the spiral mobile hanger, draw a 1-inch-wide spiral line on a large coffee can lid. With an adult's help, cut along the spiral line. (See illustration below for reference.)

Decorate the spiral mobile hanger with acrylic paints or permanent markers. Let dry. Punch holes in the mobile hanger along the spiral, making sure the holes line up together on each ring of the spiral.
Punch a hole at the top end of the spiral, and thread it with string to hang the mobile. Pull the spiral hanger open. Tie a piece of string through 1 top hole of the spiral, and string it through 1 hole on each adjacent part of the spiral.
Leave the end of the string hanging. This is where you will hang your mobile items. Repeat for remaining holes. Hang shells, acorns, or beads from each string end.
