Add a touch of glamor with colorful jewelry.

Step 1:
Tie a knot two inches from one end of the stretchy beading cord. Thread the other end of the cord through a needle.

Step 2: Thread two silver washer beads onto the cord, then two E beads (choose any colors you like.) Repeat this pattern until there are eight sets of silver washer beads and seven sets of colored E beads. The rest of the clear stretchy cord will be left un-beaded so that the silver washer beads and E beads look as if they are floating around your neck.

Step 3: Cut the knot and needle off the ends of the beading cord. Tie ends together in a knot at the desired length, and trim any excess cord.

Try This!
What would go perfectly with your glitzy necklace? A pair of matching earrings and a bracelet, of course! In addition to more of the materials you used for the necklace, you'll need light-gauge beading wire, a pair of silver hook earring wires, wire cutters, and needle-nose pliers.

Add glitz with matching sets.

Bracelet

Follow the same steps for the glitzy necklace, but use 18 sets of silver washer beads separated by 18 sets of colored E beads. This time the beads will go all the way around the stretchy beading cord.

Earrings

Step 1: Cut a four-inch length of beading wire.

Step 2: Using the needle-nose pliers, make a loop at one end of the wire to hold the beads.

Step 3: Thread one colored E bead, one silver washer bead, two E beads, one washer bead, and one E bead onto the wire.

Step 4: Cut off excess wire about 1/2 inch above the last bead, and make a loop at the end of the beaded wire.

Step 5: Use needle-nose pliers to slightly open the loop on an earring wire. Slip the loop of the beaded wire into the earring wire loop; close the loop with the pliers.

Step 6: Repeat all steps for the matching earring.
