Caterpillar Quilted Pillow Pattern
Perfect for a child's bedroom or a sunroom, this delightful Caterpillar quilted pillow is also fun to make. The quilted pillow pattern showcases the Inching Along quilt block and results in a finished pillow that measures about 13 inches square. Download the two-page Caterpillar quilted pillow pattern as a PDF, and print out the pattern. You'll need to enlarge the quilt block 125% before you get started.

To make the Caterpillar quilted pillow pattern:
Make 1 block, and add flying geese border (see Borders page). Finished size is about 13 inches square.

Cut:
A: Cut 1. B: Cut 2, and cut 2 from background fabric. C-E: Cut 1 each. F-H: Cut 1, and cut 1 from reverse pattern. I-O: Cut 1 each.

Stitch:
Stitch B to background B; make 2. Stitch BB to BB, alternating fabrics. Stitch A to left side of BBBB. Stitch C to top of D; stitch E to bottom of CD. Stitch F to G, and then stitch H to bottom of FG. Make 2 (1 is reverse pattern). Stitch I to J, and stitch K to bottom of IJ. Stitch N to M, and stitch L to bottom of NM. Stitch CDE to FGH, then stitch reverse FGH to other side. Stitch IJK to reverse FGH, and stitch NML to end. Stitch rows together (third row is piece O) to complete block. By machine, use narrow zigzag stitch to make antennae. Sew beads to ends of antennae, and sew on a button for eye.
