When the Easter Bunny's come and gone, all the dyed eggs have been found, and every piece of candy liberated from their baskets, those holiday trimmings could still come in handy, as the editors at Real Simple demonstrate. (We bow to their creativity.)

You can clean hard-to-reach places in vases and bottles, for instance, by dropping in some crushed eggshells, warm water, and a drop of dishwashing liquid, and then swishing everything about. To make some impromptu maracas, try adding some puffed rice cereal to plastic Easter eggs. Leftover Easter grass can be used to pack and ship fragile items. And those aforementioned baskets? Try using one as a planter or as storage for your garden tools. ::Real Simple
