Art in Pieces Craft

One picture is worth 1,000 giggles when you try this art in pieces craft.

What You'll Need:

  • Old magazines
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Drawing paper
  • Craft glue
  • Colored pencils
How to Make the Art in Pieces Craft:

Step 1: Find a picture you like in a magazine. Draw a large square around it, then divide it into nine equal squares. Cut out the small squares.

Step 2: On a piece of drawing paper, draw the picture from one of the cut squares; you can even turn the square upside down to concentrate on the lines. As you draw, concentrate on the spacing of the lines rather than the outline.

Step 4: After you're done drawing, cut out the squares, reassemble your picture on a piece of paper, and glue the squares in place. Color in your picture.

Tip
Another idea is to fill in your square pieces using different coloring tools before you put them together. Color some in with crayon, chalk, or even acrylic or watercolor paints.
