What You'll Need:

  • 6 clear plastic plates
  • Tissue paper (assorted colors)
  • 2 paper clips
  • Suction cup with hook
  • Glue stick
  • Paper punch

How to Make Stained Glass Sun Catcher:

Step 1: Tear several sheets of tissue paper into small pieces. Arrange overlapping pieces on a clear plate, using a dab of glue to hold them in place. Repeat on 2 more plates.

Step 2: Dab more glue over the top of the tissue paper, and lay another plate on top of each finished plate, sandwiching the tissue between the 2 plates.

Step 3: Punch 2 holes in the rim of 2 places, directly across from each other. Punch one hole in the rim of the other plate.

Step 4: Bend open 2 paper clips, and slip one end through the hole in one plate and the other end through one of the holes in the second plate.

Step 5: Slip one end of the second clip into the other hole in that plate and the other end through one of the holes in the last plate.

Step 6: Slide the hook of a suction cup through the last hole for hanging (this is the top of the sun catcher).

Step 7: Press the suction cup to a window, where the sun will shine through the colored tissue.

Cut paper instead of tiles to create a mosaic in the next paper craft.
