Strip piecing is another quilt technique that can save lots of time when making quilts with complex blocks.
Instead of using templates, cut strips of fabric. (Use a rotary cutter and a ruler for the greatest efficiency.) Stitch the strips of fabric together. Then cut the strips and recombine the resulting units.
