Vermiculture, more commonly known as worm farming, is rapidly becoming a popular way to compost at home. The idea is that worms, placed in a small container partially filled with soil, can be fed food scraps and paper, which they eat and turn into, well, worm poop. The poop just happens to make excellent fertilizer for the garden.
It's a simple idea, but one company is using it to make millions. Terracycle produces and sells a variety of eco-friendly fertilizers based on worm poop. More impressive is the company's dedication to principles of zero waste. Everything Terracycle sells is made of garbage.
