Eulychnia saint-pieana is a tall columnar cactus from the dry hills of Chile.

It has many ribs which are set with large, white, wooly tufts accented by long central spines. The flowers stay open day and night. The fleshy fruit is edible, but not very tasty. Give it bright light, heavy soil, excellent drainage, cool nights and good air circulation.
