All in Fun Baby Nursery Decorating Idea

This smart space uses extra wide bold stripes in sherbet tints to create a feeling that's as much fun as a circus but as pretty as a spring garden. To keep the look from becoming too sweet, no conventional floral prints were used. Instead, whimsical farm animals and checks lend a fun and frisky air.

1. Using transfer paper, apply pattern to plywood. If pattern is not size you want, enlarge or reduce it on photocopier. Cut out pattern with handheld jigsaw or saber saw, or have pattern cut at a hardware or home supply store. Sand edges smooth, and wipe clean with damp cloth. 2. Mark center of cutout, and drill hole into wood, stopping about halfway. Wipe clean, then fill hole with wood glue. Insert wood hook or dowel into hole. Wipe away excess glue; let dry. 3. On back of cutout, mark center. Using screwdriver, countersink screw through wood and into dowel or wood hook. 4. Paint cutout as desired; let dry. Following manufacturer's instructions, attach picture hanger to back of cutout, and hang. |
